My stay at Park House Hotel in Galway had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to Eyre Square, making exploring the city super easy. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which really enhanced my experience. However, I found my room to be a bit dated and the view quite disappointing, looking out at a rusted wall. While I enjoyed the delicious breakfast, I felt the overall value for the price paid wasn't quite there.
Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious with comfortable beds, but felt dated and had a poor view. I noticed issues like a basic shower and a room that was quite dark. Some amenities could really use an update.
Service
8.0
The attention from staff was a highlight of my stay. From the friendly gentlemen at breakfast to the helpful porters, everyone was warm and accommodating. It made a big difference to the overall experience.
Location

The hotel's central location was perfect for my plans. Just a couple of minutes from Eyre Square and lots of pubs and dining options close by. It was convenient for getting around without needing a car.

Facilities were decent, but there were limitations. Parking was quite tight, and I felt certain areas of the hotel, like the bar, lacked atmosphere. Additionally, the room amenities could use some improvements.

5.4/10
My recent stay at Park House Hotel was a mixed bag. On one hand, I loved the central location close to attractions and appreciated the friendly service at breakfast. However, I was disappointed with the room size and the dated facilities, which felt like they needed a serious refresh. Overall, it was more of a 3-star experience rather than the 4-star rating advertised.
Rooms
5.0
The room was clean but cramped, with a full bed and a child-sized twin. It really wasn't comfortable for two full-sized adults. There were also signs of wear, with drainage issues in the shower and some mold around the tub.
Service
7.0
The staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating. The check-in process was efficient, and breakfast service was pleasant. However, I did notice that not all requests seemed welcomed, which detracted from the experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly situated near Eyre Square and within walking distance to all major attractions in Galway, which was a huge plus for my trip.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was well-prepared and enjoyable, though I found the overall food quality in the hotel left something to be desired. It wasn't the high standard I expected.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has potential but is in need of renovations, as there were many signs of deferred maintenance throughout. The Wi-Fi was intermittent, which made staying connected challenging.

I really enjoyed my stay at Park House Hotel, mainly thanks to its fantastic location and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was a highlight, with the scones being a standout treat. However, parking was a bit confusing, which detracted from the experience. Overall, the staff's friendliness and my spacious room made it a pleasant trip worth repeating.

Perfectly situated right next to Eyre Square, I was just a short walk away from plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops. Despite being central, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, which I loved.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the traditional Irish options. I also tried the bar food, which was decent but not as great as the breakfast.
Facilities

The hotel offers private parking, which is helpful given how busy the area is. However, the signage for the pay stations could definitely be improved to avoid confusion.

My stay at Park House Hotel was a mixed experience. While the central location was fantastic, making it easy to explore Galway, I encountered several issues during my visit. The room was clean but felt quite dated, and the bed was firmer than I prefer. Service varied; some staff were extremely welcoming, but others seemed indifferent when I requested assistance.
Rooms

The room was clean and tidy, but it felt outdated. The bed was too firm for my liking, and the bathroom had drainage issues that left standing water while showering.
